Owners Survey 2026
OSG performed an on-line survey in January 2026. The primary purpose of the survey was to understand owners’ future intentions regarding their timeshare ownership.
There are approximately 700 unique owners at Ridge Resort, excluding unit parcels held by Classic-related entities. The survey was conducted anonymously, although owners were given the option to provide their details, which many chose to do. The purpose of the survey was to obtain a general indication of owners’ intentions. It does not constitute a formal vote, where eligibility would be verified by ownership of a financial week and owners of multiple weeks would hold a corresponding number of votes.
Notwithstanding this, the submission of 433 responses gives the survey a high level of credibility. Our results show that 51.5% want to sell by the end of 2028 and 23% plan to keep indefinitely.
Our response rate exceeded that achieved by the Body Corporate Committee (BCC) in its 2024 survey, but the overall findings are broadly consistent. The BCC survey reported that 47.6% of owners wished to sell within five years, and 74.8% intended to sell at some point in the future leaving 25.2% as keeping indefinitely (or at least 20 years).
The OSG considers that the combined results of these surveys clearly reinforce the need for a formal report on potential sale processes for timeshare owners who wish to exit. Progressing the motion passed at the 2025 AGM to address this matter is now overdue.
